Explore the ministry opportunities for your children at North Fort Worth
Here at North Fort Worth Baptist Church, we are all about helping children connect with Jesus in a safe and fun environment. Children birth to 6th grade will experience age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.
Here's what to expect when visiting for the first time:
First, find the area marked for new families. If you need help, just ask any of the greeters or staff that are throughout the building. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
Before Service: You can check-in your child at the New Family desk near the preschool entrance. After filling out a blue information card, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.
After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, you will receive a text message. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.
At 9:30 on Sundays we have Life Groups where caring (and background checked) adult leaders will help connect your child to Jesus in a fun and engaging way.
Preschoolers will meet directly in their classroom
1st-4th graders will meet as a large group where they will play game related to the lesson and hear an introduction to the lesson. They will then break out into small groups based on age.
5th-6th graders will meet directly in their classroom
Preschoolers will remain in their classrooms
1st-4th graders move from their Life Groups into a Children's Worship experience. During this time, the children are engaged in music, games, and a lesson. At the very end of this time, they break into small groups again to discuss the lesson further.
5th-6th graders have the opportunity to participate in the worship service with their parents.
Nehemiah Kids - (1st-3rd grade) is a ministry with a purpose . The objective is to see boys and girls grow in their walk of faith through spiritual disciplines and ministry involvement and to support families in the process of discipling their children.
L.I.T. (Leaders in Training) - (4th - 6th grade) is a program to reach preteens with the Gospel of Christ and to disciple, equip, and release them in ministry. We have found through L.I.T. that the secret of leadership development is to begin with discipling preteens early and allowing them to serve in the church using spiritual gifts on a regular basis.
When a church is properly trained and they walk children and student through these steps, the children’s spiritual foundation is set, and they become solid Christian leaders in the body of Christ at a very young age.
